Nick Cornell | Law Clerk

Law Clerk Nick Cornell assists the firm’s attorneys by conducting research on a wide variety of global data protection and privacy issues, and preparing drafts of privacy policies, terms of use agreements, and legal disclaimers.  Through his work at Fey LLC, Nick has developed a strong understanding of comprehensive state privacy laws, in particular the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act.  He collaborates with the firm’s lawyers on analyzing the extent to which firm clients may rely on entity-wide and information-specific exemptions to comprehensive state data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GLBA, employee, and business-to-business exemptions).   He also has contributed to firm projects designed to distill complex privacy laws into concise, user-friendly resources.  Nick, a highly-ranked law student at the University of Kansas School of Law, received a Bachelor of General Studies in Political Science from the University of Kansas, with a 3.99 GPA, in only two years.
